What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to remember. Some are essential and keep the site working; others record what you do so we can improve it. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential ones will break sign-in and checkout.

Essential cookies

These are required for the marketplace to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites.

  • Session cookie — keeps you signed in between page loads.
  • Cart storage — remembers what is in your cart so it survives a refresh or a closed tab.
  • Consent record — stores that you answered the cookie banner, so we stop asking.

Preference storage

These remember choices you make so we do not ask you again. They are stored in your browser rather than sent to us on every page.

  • Your delivery city and region, used to show relevant products and delivery fees.
  • Your recent searches, so you can re-run one quickly.
  • Recently viewed products, so you can find your way back to something you looked at.

Analytics cookies

With your consent we collect anonymous usage data: which pages are visited, which searches are run, and where errors happen. This tells us what to fix first. We do not use analytics cookies to build advertising profiles, and declining does not remove any feature.

  • Analytics is off until you accept it in the cookie banner.
  • You can change your choice at any time from the cookie banner in the footer.

Cookies we do not set

  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No third-party marketing cookies of any kind.
  • No card details — payments are entered directly on our payment provider’s page.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or checking out.

  • Clearing your browser storage also empties your cart and clears your recent searches, because they are stored locally.
  • You stay signed in through the session cookie; clearing it signs you out on that device.
